Job description

Digital Print Operator 2 in Shakopee, MN | $17.50-20/Hour

Shakopee, MN

Schedule: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri 7:30AM-3:30PM with optional O/T.

Digital Print Operator 2 Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Technically sound with strong knowledge of how computers, digital front ends (DFE's) and other software that is used to create and print files on a digital printing press.
  • Previous experience running digital equipment such as Xerox, HP, Kodak, Cannon, or other digital print devices.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environments with tight turn times and schedules.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude to make basic repairs or adjustments on the equipment as needed and have a basic understanding of how the printing process works.
  • Requires knowledge of standard set ups, adjustments and operating characteristics of the equipment and skill to perform standard adjustments and operate the equipment.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment according to the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment.
  • Typically, the adjustments performed at this level are routine and the need for such adjustments are readily apparent.
  • Lifting 45lbs.
  • Standing for long durations of time.
  • Use hands and fingers to lift and reach.
Digital Print Operator 2 Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate inkjet, laser, xerographic or offset duplicating printers.
  • RIP files or review job instructions to prepare jobs for printing.
  • Maintain daily print job production logs and daily delivery manifests.
  • Setup, program, and release jobs from print queue.
  • May adjust image position, perforations, and folds on paper.
  • Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality.
  • Order supplies such as ink, chemical solutions, blankets and rollers, paper, tabs, and other items as needed.
