Job summary

Quantum Fulfillment Services in West Windsor, NJ is seeking a Digital Print Operator to support daily printing and finishing processes. You will help run Pro-Stream, Canon IX, and Ricoh printers, ensure quality control, and coordinate workflow across departments.

Over time you will train to operate the Smyth Meccanotechnica Roll Smythe finishing machine, maintain supplies, and assist with inventory and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must speak English.
• Strong attention to detail; spot defects.
• Willingness to learn, including Smyth operation.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Basic understanding of print production is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and software navigation.
• Strong organizational skills for inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating Pro-Stream, Canon IX, and Ricoh printers to ensure quality prints.
• Conduct quality checks on printed materials for accuracy and color consistency.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of supplies, including paper and ink.
• Receive and store new pallets of supplies efficiently.
• Move completed jobs to other departments to maintain workflow.
• Collaborate with press operators for smooth production.
• Use computer-based printing software to access job information and update records.
• Over time, receive training to operate Smyth finishing machine.

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Digital Print Operator to support the daily operations of our printing and finishing processes. This role involves assisting with the operation of Pro-Stream, Canon IX, and Ricoh printers and, over time, will include training to operate a Smyth machine. You will be responsible for ensuring quality control, maintaining essential supplies, and assisting with smooth workflow coordination across multiple departments.

Schedule

Schedules vary based on production needs, with occasional Saturdays required.

What you'll do

• Assist in operating the Pro-Stream, Canon IX, and Ricoh printers to ensure quality prints are produced.
• Conduct quality checks on printed materials to verify accuracy and color consistency.
• Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies, including paper and ink.
• Receive and store new pallets of supplies efficiently.
• Move completed jobs to other departments as needed to maintain workflow.
• Collaborate with press operators to ensure smooth, consistent operation and production.
• Use computer-based printing software to access job information, monitor print jobs, and update production records.
• Over time, receive training and develop proficiency in operating the Meccanotechnica Roll Smythe machine for finishing tasks.
