Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Digital Print Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in digital printing and is both self-motivated and detail-oriented. The Digital Print Operator is responsible for job setup and printing using our cut-sheet digital printers. They are also in charge of calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's Pantone colors / previous jobs, and managing the service and maintenance of the printers as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for operating digital commercial printers using Fiery Workstation

Responsible for imposing files for print & running USPS mail software

Works with other departments to prioritize and manage daily job production

Produces orders accurately, efficiently, and quickly while maintaining the highest quality standards

Updates job status and location in MIS system

Always runs a proof copy and compares it to the job ticket

Controls waste and re-dos by quality-checking jobs as they are being produced

Completes Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobs

Tracks waste, spoilage, usage, and inventory for all digital printing machines

Maintains all Digital Printing Equipment logs

Maintains a clean and organized work environment

Performs all required maintenance and learns extended maintenance from the technician

Calibrates and manages all color devices as required to maintain color consistency

Monitors color consistency during all print runs and make adjustments as necessary

Assists in bindery, finishing and/or large format departments as needed

Qualifications:

Digital printing experience is required

Ability to multi-task and organize several activities and tasks concurrently

Ability to maximize profit through the efficient use of time and equipment

Can perform basic bindery functions

Familiarity and experience with Fiery Workstation, a plus

Graphic design skills, a plus
