Job summary

RRD in Wisconsin is seeking an EFI Nozomi 18000 press operator to safely set up, operate, monitor, and maintain the digital press to produce high-quality printed products that meet customer specs.

This 3rd shift runs from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM on a rotating schedule; you will read job tickets, verify materials, adjust for color and registration, perform routine maintenance, and document production and quality records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous digital printing or press operation experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Basic understanding of color reproduction and print quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret job tickets and production specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and adjust the EFI Nozomi 18000 digital press for a variety of print jobs and substrates.
• Monitor print quality throughout production and make adjustments as needed to meet customer specifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment, print quality, and production issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press and related equipment.
• Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production specifications.
• Operate pre-feed systems and coating units safely and efficiently.
• Ensure accurate front-to-back registration on two-sided printing jobs.
• Verify correct paper stocks, substrates, and materials prior to production.
• Monitor machine status, error messages, and consumable levels.
• Complete required production, maintenance, inventory, and quality documentation.
• Follow production schedules and coordinate with leadership and maintenance personnel as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Comply with all company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $26.00 to $32.00per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential.
