Siege Media is a growing, remote-first organic growth agency actively delivering standout content for world-class clients. We’re seeking a Digital PR Specialist to craft data-driven stories, pitch to journalists, and build media lists across B2B and B2C sectors.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in an agency or PR environment for major U.S. brands
• Passion for public relations, data-driven content, email outreach and media relations
• Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities
• Proven project management skills with multiple projects
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines independently
• Strong editing and grammar skills
• Experience crafting data-driven stories from surveys and data

Responsibilities

• Generate creative ideas to develop as content and pitch to journalists/bloggers
• Build media lists for a variety of B2B and B2C clients
• Collaborate with content marketing to create proprietary data for client thought leadership
• Pitch team-created content to news media to generate coverage
• Monitor news and proactively pitch new stories
• Write effective leads for pitches
• Develop relationships with writers, reporters and bloggers
• Conduct thorough research validating sources and data

Responsibilities

• Generate creative ideas to develop as content and pitch to journalists/bloggers
• Build media lists for a variety of B2B and B2C clients across a wide range of industry groups
• Work with our content marketing team to create unique, proprietary data to establish our clients as industry experts in their field
• Pitch content generated by our team to news media for the primary purpose of generating coverage and visibility for our organic growth clients
• Monitor news and proactively pitch new stories
• Have a firm grasp on writing effective leads
• Nurture and develop relationships with writers, reporters and bloggers
• Conduct comprehensive research including validating sources and finding the most recent and relevant data available

Required Skills

• Passion for public relations, data-driven content, email outreach and media relations
• Experience running surveys and crafting stories from data to pitch to national news
• 3-5 years experience working in an agency or similar PR environment for major U.S. brands
• Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to form productive working relationships
• Strong project management skills, with ability to juggle multiple projects while still working effectively
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work independently
• Strong attention to detail, i.e. near perfect grammar and strong editing skills

Suggested Skills

• Basic to intermediary SEO knowledge
• Experience using Microsoft Office and/or the Google Doc tool suite
• Experience using a media relations tool such as Muck Rack or Cision

The salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$73,500.00 DOE.

Compensation Range: $65K - $73.5K
