Job Description

MSNBC is seeking an experienced Digital Platforms Producer.

Responsibilities

1. Work across all platforms—linear, digital, streaming—to create content aligned with MSNBC's brand identity.
2. Collaborate with shows, digital editors, and leadership on editorial vision and goals.
3. Curate MSNBC.com and the MSNBC app with accurate, engaging content; distribute across partner platforms like Apple News, SmartNews, and Flipboard.
4. Write compelling headlines and story packaging; perform A/B testing.
5. React to breaking news in real time, ensuring platforms are up-to-date and accurate.
6. Contribute to MSNBC’s flagship newsletter production.
7. Partner to promote podcasts, live events, and documentaries.
8. Monitor analytics to inform programming decisions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of digital production or relevant editorial experience.

Desired Qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of current events, U.S. politics, geopolitics, foreign policy, and history.
• Extensive news consumption from diverse sources, including op-eds.
• Experience curating news homepages and social media content; understanding platform-specific strategies.
• Passion for breaking news and audience understanding.
• Experience in opinion journalism.
