Job summary

Penn State University is seeking a program manager to lead the Distributed Wind Online Hub, coordinate outreach activities, and support the project team. You will translate research into accessible web content and resources for diverse audiences.

You will engage farmers, landowners, rural communities, and energy professionals; organize webinars and field events; track participation and outcomes, contributing to reporting and continuous improvement. Travel within Pennsylvania is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience coordinating projects, programs, events, communications, or activities involving multiple people or organizations.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and collaborators.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Distributed Wind Online Hub: lead development, organization, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the project's online hub.
• Coordinate the Outreach Program: organize webinars, workshops, field events, presentations, and other outreach activities.
• Coordinate the Project Team: act as central point of contact among project partners, track activities and deadlines, facilitate communication, ensure goals and deliverables are met.
• Develop Digital and Educational Content: translate research and technical information into clear, accessible web content, fact sheets, presentations, and resources.
• Engage Stakeholders: build relationships with farmers, landowners, rural communities, agricultural organizations, energy professionals, and other stakeholders; incorporate questions and information needs into outreach activities.
• Evaluate and Document the Program: track participation, collect feedback, document activities and outcomes, contribute to reporting and continuous improvement.
