APM Terminals

APM Terminals plays an important role in enabling the global Maersk Ocean and Logistics network as well as serving other Shipping Lines, Beneficial Cargo Owners, Freight Forwarders, intermodal logistics providers and integrating with a wide variety of local port authorities, customs and government bodies across our global network of transshipment, import and export gateway terminals.
In support of the broader Maersk strategy, we are accelerating the transformation of our business from a portfolio of independently operated terminals into a safer, better, bigger global terminals operator.

We Offer

The Business Analyst HUBS will be responsible to maintain and support the Digital Operations applications and solutions for the HUB terminals. To execute on the modernization and standardization for the Digital Operations applications and solutions across the HUB terminals. Will liaison between Global Strategic Demands and Local Terminal Initiatives. To manage system changes from start to finish, ensuring developments comply with the business needs as well as with the Global Standards, and are designed, developed, tested, documented, and implemented successfully.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Support and maintain the business applications within the Digital Operations domain
  • A proven track record in the TOS area, mainly in Navis XPS/N4
  • Good understanding of the EDI, implementation, and support
  • Understanding of the Gate Processes as well as industry Gate Operating Systems
  • Execute upgrades, software enhancements and changes to the business applications in scope, in line with global standard change management practices and without or minimizing service interruption
  • Resolve incidents in line with standard incident management processes and within agreed service levels
  • Collaborate with regional Business Analysts and the Global teams on new business needs and requirements, new enhancements, and developments
  • Provide training to stakeholders on provided functionalities
  • Deploy new standard capabilities within the specified domain in line with the global change and modernization agenda
  • Collaborate with other regional and local teams to ensure underlying (eg IT infrastructure, Databases, Networking, etc.) enablers are in place and meet the requirements to ensure a secure, highly performant, robust and 7x24 available application environment
  • Keep track of the complete inventory of all business applications and underlying technology in scope
  • Provide input and keep track of the business application lifecycle, keeping it up to date and execute on agreed release managements
  • Feed business demands within the specified domain to the Senior Business Analyst to determine functional requirements and enable delivery in collaboration with the global and regional Platform Portfolio team(s)
  • Contribute to the continuous business improvement process and to the meeting of business objectives
  • Comply working procedures and practices to global standards, policies, service management processes and operational procedures

Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience

  • A proven track record in the Transportation and/or Logistical industry
  • Knowledge of the Container Terminal Business and of Terminal Operation System Software
  • Knowledge of Container Terminal Automation is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of the IT environment
  • Experience with Business Process Modelling
  • Experience with project management and requirements analysis an advantage
  • Able to devise IT test plans and implement them including training users
  • Work effectively under pressure
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work with operations and systems staff
  • Be able to use initiative and act independently
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Understanding of the areas of application programming, database and system design is an advantage
  • Have the confidence to suggest areas for improvement along with possible solutions
  • Contribute to the continuous business improvement process and to the meeting of business objectives
  • To be always an ambassador for the company internally and externally
