Job summary

The Walt Disney Company’s Eyewitness News division in New York seeks a digital content producer to create, edit, and publish material for digital, social, and connected TV platforms. You’ll work in a fast-paced newsroom to drive breaking coverage and engaging content that viewers will share.

You will manage abc7ny.com content, produce original videos, direct live coverage, optimize for reach, and coordinate social media to grow audience across platforms, leveraging SEO and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, TV/Production or related field.
• Experience in digital news and multiplatform production.
• Familiarity with SEO and social media best practices.

Responsibilities

• Produce digital news stories with engaging and optimized headlines and copy.
• Create social and multi-platform content for station accounts.
• Assist with live-streamed events and news coverage.
• Use insights to drive editorial and strategic decision-making.
• Work with newsroom leaders to create synergy across platforms on station content.
• Collaborate with content makers to maximize the sharing of our content in a multi-platform way.
• Using SEO (search engine optimization) to increase page views and unique visitors through Google, etc.
