Job summary

WYFF 4, the NBC / CBS affiliate in Greenville, SC, seeks a Digital Content Editor to create compelling content for our website, mobile products, and social media. You will craft engaging headlines and publish under tight deadlines while collaborating with reporters and editors to ensure timely postings.

As part of Hearst Television, you will contribute ideas to grow digital platforms, manage live streams of breaking news, and ensure cross-platform promotion across all channels.

Qualifications

• Previous digital editing experience.
• Adobe Premiere or equivalent non-linear editor.
• News and editorial judgment.
• Excellent AP writing skills.
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and video editing.
• Experience with social media best practices.
• Flexible to cover different shifts and holidays for a 24-hour news cycle.
• In-person attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Write/edit and publish breaking news, daily news, sports, weather, and feature stories for the website, mobile, and social pages.
• Write compelling headlines.
• Collaborate with Reporters and Editors to post content quickly.
• Coordinate with Producers and Managers to promote content across platforms.
• Manage LIVE streams of newscasts and breaking news.
• Contribute ideas to grow digital platforms.
