WYFF 4, the NBC / CBS affiliate in Greenville, SC, seeks a Digital Content Editor to create compelling content for our website, mobile products, and social media. You will craft engaging headlines and publish under tight deadlines while collaborating with reporters and editors to ensure timely postings.

As part of Hearst Television, you will contribute ideas to grow digital platforms, manage live streams of breaking news, and ensure cross-platform promotion across all channels.

Competenze

• Previous digital editing experience.
• Adobe Premiere or equivalent non-linear editor.
• News and editorial judgment.
• Excellent AP writing skills.
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and video editing.
• Experience with social media best practices.
• Flexible to cover different shifts and holidays for a 24-hour news cycle.
• In-person attendance is required.

WYFF 4, the NBC / CBS affiliate in Greenville, SCis looking for a well-rounded Digital Content Editor who will create content for our station's website, mobile products and social media platforms. You will be an excellent storyteller and can edit and create content facing intense competition under constant deadline pressure. You will report to the News Director.

Responsibilities

• Write/edit and publish breaking news, daily news, sports, weather, and feature stories for the stations website, mobile and social media pages
• Write compelling headlines
• Work with Reporters and Assignment Editors to ensure content is posted quickly
• Work with Producers, Assignment Editors and Managers to ensure cross promotion of content across all platforms
• Manage LIVE streams of newscasts and breaking news
• Contribute ideas to help grow the station's digital platforms

Requirements

• Previous digital editing experience
• Professional experience with non-linear editing software (Adobe Premiere or equivalent)
• News and editorial judgment
• Excellent AP writing skills
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop and video editing
• Experience with social media best practices
• Flexibility to work different shifts, holidays on short notice to cover a 24-hour news cycle
• Work well in an environment with frequent interruptions
• Proficiency in Photoshop, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other programming languages
• Related military experience will be considered
• In-person attendance is required
