Our client in Foster City, CA is seeking a Digital Modeler, Industrial Design to join the Design Department and support the Robot Industrial Design team. The role focuses on creating Class-A surfaces and advancing autonomous mobility projects.

The position emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, and a human-centered approach to product development, with benefits and a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in industrial design, transportation design, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in automotive design and engineering, focusing on prototype, advanced design development, and production.
• Proficiency in Alias software and automotive surface design best practices from concept to Class-A surfaces.
• Experience with Alias Sub-D and/or Blender is preferred.
• Strong understanding of product design development processes and component manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality surface models that communicate design intent from concepts to production-ready surfaces.
• Evaluate concepts for feasibility, surface quality, and manufacturability, providing optimization recommendations.
• Deliver surface models within established timelines, hitting milestones and quality standards.
