Job description

The Thuma team is seeking a Digital Merchandising Associate to bring our assortment and brand story to life on the website, creating a thoughtfully curated, 6-star experience for every customer who visits.

The ideal candidate has a background in DTC ecommerce or a related field, a sharp eye for a luxury, design-forward brand, and takes real pride in getting the details right. You will be responsible for prioritizing Thuma brand aesthetic while owning the end-to-end execution of product set up and launches across our channels.

Thuma’s Headquarters is based in the historic Presidio neighborhood of San Francisco. This is a hybrid role, and candidates should be available to come into our SF office 3 days a week.

You Will
  • Manage day-to-day operations of our ecommerce platform (Shopify) and Content Management System (Contentful), ensuring on-time launches, accurate product representation and a user experience that matches brand standards.
  • Assist with the product launch process: uploading images and other content, building and updating product pages and listing pages ahead of the launch.
  • QA all site content prior to publishing - links, imagery, copy accuracy, and fidelity to Figma designs - to ensure all aspects are perfect prior to launch.
  • Manage the product catalog in both Contentful and Shopify, making sure both match with images, descriptions and proper metadata to enrich our site features and product feeds.
  • Assist merchandising across navigation, search, filters, facets, and product listing experiences.
  • Build, QA, publish, and maintain homepage content and landing pages using our CMS.
  • Support recurring seasonal and holiday site audits, fixing broken links, outdated content, and merchandising gaps ahead of key sales moments.
  • Partner with logistics to maintain accurate site inventory and delivery messaging.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, brand, product, design, and customer service teams to implement strategies to drive sales via optimization, merchandising, and improved site functionality.
This Might Describe You
  • 1+ years of experience working on a DTC ecommerce site, digital merchandising, retail merchandising, site operations or related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to have a good understanding of tasks and ask questions when more information is needed.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts across different platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Contributes to meetings with confidence, direction, and clear actionable outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player with a "no task is too small" attitude.
  • Experience with Shopify and Contentful is a plus.
