Job summary

Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Dorchester is seeking a Digital Medicines Technician (Band 4/5) to support, maintain and optimise EPMA and other pharmacy IT systems, ensuring patient safety and high quality care across inpatient, outpatient and discharge processes.

The role works with the digital medicines team to deliver system improvements, provides staff training, and acts as a liaison with DTI and other provider trusts, with opportunities for UKVI sponsorship where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and develop pharmacy IT systems including EPMA.
• Provide staff training and draft SOPs for digital medicines.
• Assist in reporting duties of the Digital Medicines Team.
• Assist dispensing activities and utilise ACT status for checking.
• Maintain ACT registrations and CPD participation where applicable.
• Promote health and safety within the pharmacy service.
• Collaborate with other departments and providers on digital pharmacy initiatives.
