Job summary

YMCA of Greenville is seeking a part-time Media Specialist to craft and edit digital content, graphics, and social media posts that align with brand standards. The role emphasizes photography/videography, Canva-based design, and collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team.

The ideal candidate has a marketing or digital media background, solid communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or related field.
• At least two years of customer service/public relations experience.
• Experience in digital content editing, graphic design, or social media production.
• Proficiency in Canva and basic video-editing software (CapCut, Adobe Express, iMovie, or similar).
• Strong understanding of digital communication, visual branding, and storytelling.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Daxko Engage (preferred) or willingness to learn.
• Completion of all required YMCA training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Edit provided photos and videos into polished content for social media, email, and digital screens.
• Create engaging graphics, layouts, and branded templates using Canva and other approved tools.
• Prepare short-form videos and reels based on supplied footage.
• Maintain organized digital files and consistent visual quality.
• Support branch-level social media content, including posts, stories, graphics, and basic photography or videography.
• Ensure all materials align with YMCA of Greenville and Y-USA brand guidelines.
