Job description

At Barnes & Thornburg, change is relentless and so are we. Our Client Growth and Marketing team serves its clients — 850 lawyers across 50 practices in 26 markets — with the same energy and commitment.

The team currently seeks a Digital Marketing Coordinator to drive marketing and communications strategies that enhance the firm’s brand, reputation, and client engagement. Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, the coordinator will support digital marketing initiatives across events, thought leadership, and client communications — building and executing deliverables including webpages, emails, and social media posts while maintaining the systems and data that power effective campaigns.

Working as part of a collaborative marketing team, the coordinator will assist with campaign execution, marketing automation, website updates, and performance tracking, requiring strong attention to detail, technical curiosity, and the ability to juggle multiple digital projects in a fast-paced environment.

Digital Campaign Execution

  • Build and deploy digital marketing deliverables, including webpages, email campaigns, social media posts, and promotional assets
  • Support digital promotion of firm events and thought leadership programs, before and after each
  • Assist with campaign setup, including audience segmentation, registration pages, and email scheduling
  • Distribute and amplify content across multiple channels

Email Marketing & Marketing Automation

  • Build and manage email campaigns within the firm’s marketing automation platform
  • Support campaign segmentation, scheduling, and list management
  • Ensure emails meet firm standards for formatting, compliance, and accuracy

Website & Digital Content Management

  • Create and update webpages related to firm events, alerts, and other marketing initiatives
  • Maintain website content for accuracy, consistency, and brand compliance
  • Publish digital content and coordinate updates across marketing channels

SEO & Digital Optimization

  • Apply SEO best practices across digital properties, including keyword integration, page structure, and internal linking
  • Manage and update metadata (titles, descriptions, tags) to support search visibility and content organization
  • Maintain site architecture and taxonomy to ensure content is structured for discoverability and ease of use
  • Monitor SEO performance and identify opportunities to improve search visibility

Data & Analytics Support

  • Track and report on campaign performance across email, website, and social channels
  • Compile analytics and prepare performance summaries for marketing leadership
  • Maintain campaign data and ensure accurate tracking across platforms

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with marketing managers, business development colleagues, and designers to execute digital campaigns
  • Coordinate project timelines and ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Support broader marketing initiatives and process improvements as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field
  • 3–7 years of digital marketing or communications experience; law firm experience preferred
  • Fluency with content management systems, social media platforms, and digital marketing tools
  • Strong project management skills; proven ability to manage competing priorities under deadline
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based publishing platforms
  • Collaborative working style with strong interpersonal and communication skills
