The Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Paid Media Associate located in the Greater Phoenix/Mesa area to support our paid search and social ad operations. This position is fully remote for day-to-day work, but because we actively support our local business community, we are looking for someone based locally who can occasionally attend sponsored client and industry events in the Valley.

In this role, you will work directly with our media team to execute, monitor, and optimize ad campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and social platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Campaign Execution: Assist in setting up, launching, and managing paid search and social ad campaigns under direction.
• Keyword & Audience Research: Perform ongoing keyword research, negative keyword management, and audience targeting refinements.
• Performance Monitoring: Track daily performance metrics (clicks, conversions, CPA, ROAS) across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Meta Ads.
• Reporting & Insights: Help prepare concise monthly client performance reports with clear, actionable takeaways.
• Event Representation: Periodically represent Sophisticated Marketing Solutions at sponsored local events in Mesa and the broader Phoenix metro area.
• Team Collaboration: Support broader digital initiatives and collaborate on cross-platform media strategies.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1+ years of hands-on experience managing or assisting with paid media campaigns (agency experience or relevant internships preferred).
• Platform Familiarity: Exposure to Google Ads Manager, Microsoft Advertising, or Meta Ads Manager.
• Basic understanding of GA4 and SEO concepts is a plus.
• Analytical Mindset: Comfortable reviewing numbers, interpreting data trends, and suggesting optimizations.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for internal team collaboration and event networking.
• Local Presence: Must live in the Phoenix/Mesa area to attend local sponsored events as needed.
