The Digital Manufacturing Designer - CNC

This role involves using proprietary software to analyze customer-supplied 3D CAD models and create digital files for manufacturing.

What you will do

  1. Create and send quotes/toolpaths using proprietary software and customer CAD models
  2. Create quality control checks for manufacturing
  3. Resolve issues that prevent auto-quoting using internal software
  4. Develop and maintain knowledge of organizational processes to communicate benefits and respond to customer inquiries
  5. Collaborate with internal resources to answer customer questions about our process, materials, or CNC
  6. Assist machine operators as needed
  7. Help troubleshoot parts and their creation
  8. Evaluate practices for improvements for self, team, and company
  9. Follow all quality and safety standards
  10. Adhere to company policies and procedures
  11. Perform additional tasks as assigned

Physical Demands:

Occasionally required to sit, use a computer, reach, talk, see, and hear. Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel, and lift/move up to 70 pounds.

Work Environment:

Mostly indoors in a manufacturing setting with machinery and noise, requiring eye protection and safety shoes. Occasionally outdoors or in environments with chemicals, fumes, or other hazards. Noise level varies from quiet to moderate.
