Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. (USPI) Houston seeks a skilled Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality digital mammography exams, ensure patient comfort and safety, and contribute to accurate diagnoses in a collaborative imaging team.

The role emphasizes adherence to protocols, patient education, and ongoing professional development to support early detection and exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT (R) certification and Mammography (M) certification required.
• Texas MRT license required.
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience preferred, but strong new graduates will be considered.
• CPR certification (BLS) required.
• Strong attention to image quality and detail.
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of radiation safety practices and mammographic positioning techniques.
• Proficiency with digital mammography equipment and PACS systems; ability to work independently and adapt to varying patient needs and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Perform digital screening and diagnostic mammograms according to physician orders and imaging protocols.
• Ensure high image quality while minimizing patient exposure to radiation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records within the EMR system.
• Provide clear instructions and compassionate support to patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist with patient scheduling and exam preparation as needed.
• Ensure compliance with ACR, FDA, MQSA, and state regulations.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality, reporting any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with radiologists and the broader clinical team to support workflow and diagnostic accuracy.
• Maintain continuing education requirements and stay current on mammography best practices.
