Primary Functions

The primary purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive consumer loan application services through various digital lending channels, including phone, online, Video Lending, and live chat.

Job Type: Full-Time - Remote

Exemption Type: Non-Exempt

Wage Amount: $20.99 Hourly Minimum

Key Responsibilities

• Consumer Loan Application Services
• Conduct consultative loan interviews
• Identify cross-help loan opportunities
• Manage an application pipeline
• Process, remotely close, and fund consumer vehicle and personal loans
• Provide outstanding service to internal team members
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements, lending regulations, and internal policies
• Answer inbound calls and conduct thorough loan interviews via phone, online, Video Lending, and live chat
• Review and explain loan options, benefits, fees, qualifications, and documentation
• Communicate loan decisions and provide resources for financial/credit assistance
• Review credit reports and member histories to identify cross-help opportunities
• Prepare and send initial disclosure packages
• Structure and present cross-help loan opportunities
• Serve as primary contact with borrowers through funding
• Submit and work on loan applications with underwriters
• Explain loan terms, counteroffers, and stipulations to members
• Verify applicant and document validity to prevent fraud
• Generate and complete loan closing documents, fund, and disburse loans
• Complete post-funding tasks like vehicle title work
• Manage application pipeline and records
• Resolve audit exceptions timely
• Assist with account openings and other lending needs
• Support outbound loan campaigns
• Maintain knowledge through training and review
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Two years financial or sales experience required
• One year consumer and/or home equity lending preferred

• Knowledge of consumer and home equity lending products and regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Professionalism, courtesy, and tact
• Strong math and computer skills, including MS Office
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Problem-solving and conflict management skills
• Working knowledge of Symitar Quest and related websites

Certifications/Registrations

This role requires registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) with the NMLS, with immediate registration upon hire and ongoing updates.

Physical Functions

• Must work at least 40 hours/week
• Ability to reach, feel, bend, carry, manipulate, and input data
• Effective communication via phone, email, and in-person
