Job summary

Amtrak seeks a Senior Digital Lead Engineer to shape solution design and guide engineering execution across multiple teams. The role supports daily Network IT operations in a 24/7 environment, coordinating with project managers to deliver Network Services projects and resolve system issues.

The Ideal candidate has extensive enterprise networking experience, Cisco expertise, and a background in SDN and network resiliency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 6+ years of engineering experience.
Knowledge of enterprise networking platforms (Cisco).
Experience with OSPF, BGP, VLANs, and STP.
Experience configuring and supporting enterprise Wi‑Fi networks.
Ability to troubleshoot wireless client and performance issues.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and evaluate existing systems, applications, and networks.
Coordinate and resolve escalated support issues from senior personnel or service providers.
Offer technical expertise across business functions for process improvement.
Provide technical consultation to project managers, product owners, and stakeholders.
Provide technical analysis to define, assess, and monitor key technical aspects of programs.
