Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Data Science, or other related business degree with a graduation date between Aug 2027–May 2029.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Must commit to a full 12-week internship, 40 hours/week
  • Open to geographic mobility and relocation opportunities
  • U.S. person (citizen/national/permanent resident/asylee/refugee) not requiring sponsorship
  • Must have reliable transportation to the office
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, Word)

Internship Program Overview:

The Polaris D&IT Predictive Data Science Internship is a 12-week paid summer internship designed for emerging juniors and seniors interested in applying data science, analytics, and AI to solvereal businesschallenges within the global powersports industry.

As a Predictive Data Science Intern, you will work with large datasets to uncover insights, build predictive models, and develop data-driven recommendations that support business decisions across Polaris. Projects may include analyzing customer, dealer, supply chain, and operational data toidentifytrends, improve forecasting,optimizeprocesses, and drive business performance.

You will partner with cross-functional teams across analytics, technology, operations, and the business to turn data into actionable solutions and meaningful outcomes.

Internship Location: D&IT interns are typically based at Polaris Headquarters in Medina, MN, where they collaborate closely with technology, analytics, and business teams across the organization.

Upon completing the internship, those whodemonstrateexceptional performance and a strong passion for learning may be offered a returning internship or a position in our rotational leadership development program.

In addition to meaningful project work, you willparticipatein intentional programming and professional development offerings such as:

  • Mentorship: you are paired with one of our DP associates for mentor support throughout your 12-weeks.

  • **Programming Hours:** weekly functionalandcentralized learning sessions to broaden your knowledge base, both within and beyond your program.

  • Networking: intentional time with peers and leaders at Polaris to build your professional network.

  • Intern Innovation Challenge: internal case study designed to promote cross functional development whereyou and your team will presentcreative and practical solutions to a real ‘Polaris’ problemto our executive leadership.

  • Early Talent Summit Week:participatein our2-day event in our Wyoming, MN office. This immersive experience brings together all US interns and DPs for professional development,structured networking, a DP graduation event, inspiring executive speakers, and a thrilling team ride on some of your favorite Polaris vehicles.

  • Community Engagement : opportunity to get involved in your local community.

  • Final Presentations :presentto our senior level leaders toshowcaseyour career aspirations and recap your internship experience.

The Selection Process:

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the fall. Selected candidates will be invited toparticipatein a phone screen followed by a virtual interview with Polaris HR leaders. Candidates who successfully complete the interview process may receive an internship offer. Internship assignments arefinalizedin February based on candidate interests, strengths, and businessneeds.

Intern Relocation Assistance:

Polaris provides relocation support for eligible interns working 35+ miles from their assigned location. Benefits may include arelocationstipend andassistancewith securing temporary housing accommodations. Internsare responsible fordaily transportation to and from their worklocation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Pursuing aBachelors/Master’s degree inData Science, or other related business degree with an intended graduation date between August 2027- May 2029.

  • Minimumoverall GPA of 3.0

  • Must be able to commit to a full 12-week internship, working40 hoursper week, within one of the following date ranges:May17th– August6th, 2027or May 31st– August 20th, 2027

  • Open to geographic mobility and relocation opportunities

  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.

  • Must have reliable transportation for daily commuting to and from the office.

  • Previousexperience with Microsoft Office software tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previousinternship/co-op experience or involvement in relevant projects.

  • Previousleadership experience in work, organizations, orclassroom.

  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis, creative problem-solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.

  • Interest in future career opportunities and continued growth within Polaris.

  • Completion of at least two years of university coursework.

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $23.50 to $32.00 per hour, plus eligibility for overtime.Individual pay and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.

To qualify for this position, former employees must be eligible for rehire, and current employees must be in good standing.
