Job Summary

Wilsonart, Temple, Texas, has an immediate opening for a Digital Inspector - Material Handler. This individual assists the area in any jobs the department needs help with and performs other tasks as required. This is a straight night position, 4:00 pm – 4:00 am.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pull laminate from bins and flip laminate.
• Load laminate bins.
• Inspect every sheet of all custom laminate orders (VDL and customer orders).
• Prioritize orders to ensure the oldest are worked on first.
• Verify that the customer is getting the correct pattern (using standards samples).
• Ensure artwork is correct for customer orders.
• Band pallets.
• Operate lifts.
• Mark all material with cut dimensions that need trimming at saw.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Set up tables, pallets, and skids for inspection.
• Move inspected material to staging area from custom to carton area.
• Basic computer skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure (to 16th).

Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School Graduate or GED.

Experience: One year’s experience working in distribution and/or manufacturing.

Physical Requirements:

Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, pushing, climbing, and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (50-100 pounds).

Environment:

Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.
