Overview of the Position

The Digital Imaging Specialist supports the preparation, classification, and quality control of image data used by the Diagnostics team. In this role, you will review and label device images, verify classification accuracy, monitor work queues and throughput, identify edge cases, and maintain the records needed to understand progress and quality.

This is an execution-focused, shared-resource position. You will work through established procedures, classification standards, quality checks, trackers, and escalation paths. When labeling demand permits, you may also assist with related data, reporting, documentation, and process‑improvement activities.

This position does not include client‑facing responsibilities.

What Makes Us Different?
  • Work with image data that supports Diagnostics operations and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Gain hands‑on experience with image classification, quality control, reporting, and operational analytics.
  • Build knowledge of mobile‑device imagery, device conditions, and diagnostics‑related terminology.
  • Use tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Copilot to organize work and monitor results.
  • Contribute to process improvements that increase labeling accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams while managing clearly defined responsibilities in a remote environment.
What Will Be My Duties and Responsibilities in This Job?
  • Review and classify screen and back‑of‑device images using approved categories, labeling standards, and documented guidance.
  • Apply classifications consistently across categories such as Hand, Partial, Obstruction, Not Device, Blurry, Good Image, and other approved labels.
  • Review image metadata and available contextual information before assigning or updating a classification.
  • Reclassify images when quality reviews identify an incorrect or inconsistent label.
  • Record clear notes for ambiguous images and elevate unresolved cases through the appropriate process.
  • Perform quality spot‑checks and second‑pass reviews of completed labeling work.
  • Identify inconsistent labels, unclear category boundaries, duplicate records, unsuitable images, and other data‑quality concerns.
  • Recognize image and device edge cases, including folded devices, partial devices, obstructions, reflections, visual artifacts, and dead‑pixel lines.
  • Document exceptions, monitor recurring error patterns, and confirm that required corrections are completed.
  • Recommend updates or clarifications to labeling guidance and quality‑review checklists when recurring issues are identified.
  • Track daily labeling volume and throughput for screen and back‑of‑device work against assigned goals.
  • Monitor backlog, aging, completion status, quality‑control queues, and shortfalls against expected output.
  • Maintain labeling assignments and help ensure that priority queues and quality‑control work remain covered.
  • Provide concise status updates summarizing completed volume, outstanding work, quality concerns, and blockers.
  • Escalate capacity constraints or significant deviations from expected throughput.
  • Maintain accurate trackers, logs, procedures, category definitions, and status records.
  • Support ad hoc data pulls, basic analysis, reporting, documentation, and cross‑project assignments as needed.
  • Participate in process‑improvement activities designed to increase accuracy, consistency, and operational efficiency.
  • Protect confidential information and comply with applicable data‑handling and access requirements.
What Are the Requirements Needed for This Position?
  • An associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least one year of experience in data labeling, data entry, content review, quality assurance, operations, reporting, or another detail‑oriented role.
  • Experience following documented procedures and completing recurring or repetitive work accurately.
  • Experience using spreadsheets, trackers, work queues, or similar tools to organize and monitor assignments.
  • Strong visual attention to detail and the ability to apply classification standards consistently.
  • Ability to recognize image‑quality conditions and identify ambiguous, unusual, or potentially misclassified cases.
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to organize assigned work, manage recurring deadlines, and communicate blockers promptly.
  • Basic analytical skills, including the ability to review volumes, trends, exceptions, completion status, and backlog.
  • Clear written communication and disciplined process‑documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while following established priorities, procedures, and escalation paths.
  • Ability to perform detailed, computer‑based work for extended periods.
What Other Skills or Experience Would Be Helpful to Have?
  • Experience with image annotation, image labeling, computer‑vision training data, or digital‑content quality review.
  • Experience using image annotation or labeling platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or another data‑reporting or visualization tool.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices, device diagnostics, screen imagery, back‑case imagery, or device‑condition terminology.
  • Experience using approved AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to support documentation, summaries, or routine analysis.
