Job summary

Michael Kors is seeking a Digital Imaging Operations Manager to oversee shotlist creation, asset intake, and metadata accuracy, ensuring imagery moves efficiently from studio to site. You will guide a Content Operations Coordinator and coordinate with Photography, Retouching, Product Setup, and Content Operations teams.

You’ll manage metadata, version control, and asset ingestion at scale, with Bynder experience preferred and a focus on high-volume ecommerce imagery in a luxury retail

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in photography, digital media, information management, or a related field.
• 6+ years of ecommerce photography operations or high-volume asset environments.
• Hands-on experience managing metadata and image versioning at scale.
• Experience working within a digital asset management system; Bynder experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce photography workflows.
• High attention to detail and comfort working at speed.
• Experience guiding or supporting junior team members in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, Smartsheet, or similar tracking tools.
• Luxury, fashion, or premium retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain ecommerce photography shotlists based on product data, launch timelines, and studio capacity.
• Define required angles, image counts, and content types per SKU.
• Evaluate existing imagery for reuse versus reshoot based on product changes and accuracy.
• Partner with Photo Studio Production to keep shotlists aligned with daily and seasonal production plans.
• Manage intake and organization of photography, 3D, AI-assisted, and campaign imagery.
• Apply and validate metadata, naming conventions, and versioning standards.
• Maintain accurate version control as imagery is updated, replaced, or refined.
• Support high-volume ingestion workflows using digital asset management tools.
• Ensure assets meet technical requirements prior to handoff to product setup and site teams.
• Track asset status from capture through delivery.
• Identify missing, incorrect, or outdated assets and coordinate corrective action.
• Provide guidance and task prioritization for a Content Operations Coordinator.
• Work closely with Photography, Retouching, Product Setup, and Content Operations teams.
• Maintain clear documentation and standards to support consistent execution.

Who You Are

The Digital Imaging Operations Manager is responsible for managing digital imagery supporting high-volume luxury ecommerce photography. Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Imaging & Content Supply Operations, this role owns shotlist creation, asset intake, metadata accuracy, and version control—ensuring imagery moves efficiently from studio to site.

This role sits at the center of live content production, translating product data and production plans into executable shotlists while maintaining tight control over image accuracy, usage, and readiness throughout the ecommerce production cycle. Digital Imaging Operations Manager also provides day-to-day guidance to a Content Operations Coordinator, ensuring consistency and scalability across workflows.

What You’ll Do

Shotlist & Production Planning

• Create and maintain ecommerce photography shotlists based on product data, launch timelines, and studio capacity
