Emerson is seeking a Digital Hardware Engineering Intern to collaborate with experienced engineers on hardware and software products. You will be mentored and work through the full product development cycle, including design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing production.

You will learn techniques in schematic design, board layout, FPGA programming, and develop solutions for design validation while gaining exposure to RF, digital, and analog technologies.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar STEM field.
  • Understanding of electronics, computers, and programming (VHDL or Verilog preferred).
  • Strong interest in learning about and working with digital, analog, RF, and computer technologies.
  • Basic knowledge in analog circuit design principles.
  • Strong work ethic and drive to succeed.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Job description

The RF R&D team is seeking a Digital Hardware Engineering Intern to work alongside experienced engineers in the development of specific hardware and software products. You will be assigned an insightful mentor, who will guide you through your project and work term for a successful project experience. You will learn and enjoy the unique opportunity to be exposed to many aspects of the product development cycle, including design, prototyping, development, testing, and manufacturing production.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Learn professional techniques and perform tasks for one or more of these areas: schematic design, board layout, board validation, or FPGA programming
  • Work and interact with a wide variety of T&M staff in R&D hardware and software organizations
  • Develop hardware and software solutions for design validation
  • Perform research as required to complete your projects
  • Diagnose and debug technical challenges

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Junior or above standing
