Rolls-Royce is seeking a Digital Governance Solutions Specialist to design, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks ensuring high-quality, secure data for decision-making and regulatory compliance. You will bridge business and IT to enable trusted data across the organization.

You will manage governance tools, define quality rules, and support metadata, data lineage, and business glossary development while working in a hybrid schedule (3 days in office) in Indianapolis, IN.

Position Summary

Rolls-Royce is looking for a Data Governance Solutions Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data governance frameworks, tools, and processes that ensure high-quality, secure, and compliant data across the organization. This role bridges business and technical teams to enable trusted data for decision-making, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

What you will be doing

• Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures
• Configure and manage data governance tools (e.g., data catalog, lineage, data quality platforms)
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and IT teams to ensure alignment with governance standards
• Define and monitor data quality rules, metrics, and remediation workflows
• Support metadata management, data lineage tracking, and business glossary development
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Facilitate data stewardship programs and governance councils

Basic Requirements:

• Associates degree in STEM or business with 7+ years of experience with data governance OR,
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or business with 5+ years of data governance, OR
• Master’s degree in STEM or business with 3+ years of data governance, OR
• PhD in degree in STEM or business, OR
• In lieu of experience, 9+ years of experience in
• To be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in designing and implementing data governance/data management solutions
• Demonstrated project management experience in data governance environment
• Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to shape and translate business needs into comprehensive solutions
• Experience with policy development in a data governance environment
• Experience with data lifecycle management
• Experience with the following data governance tools: Collibra, Purview, Informatica
• DAMA CDMP Certification
• DGSP Certification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to influence at all levels
