Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing dynamic, highly interactive web UIs.
• Angular 19+ experience.
• CSS/SCSS & Bootstrap or similar styling frameworks.
• Proficient in TypeScript development.
• WCAG 2.0 accessibility: semantic HTML & ARIA.
• Experience with Karma or Jest for unit testing.
• Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps Repos usage.
• Experience in Agile cross-functional teams.
• Ability to interface with RESTful web services.

Digital Front End Engineer

Location: Merrifield, Virginia (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are seeking a mid to senior-level Front-end Engineer with extensive experience in Angular version 19 and up. The successful candidate will join a Digital Delivery team responsible for the client side of our service, supporting innovative experiences that leverage modern open source and cloud technologies. This role involves serving as a front-end web resource for an Agile team, participating in team meetings, writing and unit-testing Angular code, and coordinating deployments with other engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new client-facing features for interactive web applications that rely on REST APIs.
• Work closely with Product Owners, UX designers, and fellow engineers to build Angular-based web features.
• Implement UI component design focused on reusability, scalability, and supportability.
• Utilize existing UI components where possible when creating and updating web features.
• Ensure responsive implementation of all web pages.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and analysts to define, design, and ship new features.
• Develop high-quality, shippable code in short increments.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing dynamic, highly interactive user interfaces for the web.
• Intermediate to Advanced experience creating web solutions in Angular 19+.
• Intermediate to Advanced experience styling web pages with CSS/SCSS & Bootstrap or another frontend styling framework.
• Proficient in TypeScript development.
• Experience creating accessible solutions for web experiences that satisfy WCAG 2.0 standards, including semantic HTML and ARIA.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Karma or Jest.
• Experience with version control tools like Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps Repos.
• Experience working in an Agile framework and on cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage and interface with APIs and RESTful web services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Nx workspace monorepos.
• Experience with Storybook or other design systems/component libraries.
• Experience working on customer-facing projects.
• Experience with ng-Bootstrap.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
