Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking a Security Spec Lead - Digital Forensics Analyst to guide complex investigations and security projects. You will lead end-to-end investigations, mentor teammates, and shape incident response across HR, Legal, and IT teams.

The role requires deep forensics expertise across Windows, Linux, MacOS, mobile, and cloud. You will document findings, develop policies, and support risk-reduction initiatives while communicating clearly to executives.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Deep understanding of Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS and Android.
• Experience with malware reverse engineering and analysis.
• Strong investigative and reporting experience for complex incidents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end investigations of internal and external matters.
• Prepare findings reports for HR, Legal, and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain Digital Forensics policies and procedures.
• Lead risk-reduction and post-incident lessons learned.
