Job summary

Lighthouse in Seattle is seeking a Forensics Associate to perform onsite and remote collection of electronically stored information from laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and cloud sources, using state-of-the-art technology to support investigations and litigation.

You will verify, extract, and analyze data; provide status updates to stakeholders; log evidence and maintain chain of custody; and assist with remote collection kits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience.
• Two years of experience performing Digital Forensic collections and analysis.

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with senior team members, perform forensically sound collections of ESI from laptops, desktops, mobile devices, hard drives, servers and cloud data sources both onsite and remotely.
• Verify, extract and analyze data in support of investigations and litigation.
• Provide proactive status updates to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare remote collection kits for redeployment.
• Log and track evidence, update chain of custody logs, and follow evidence management best practices.
• Enter billable time and descriptions into billing system.
• Perform other related duties as assigned
