Job summary

Metric Systems LLC seeks a Mid-Level Digital Forensic Analyst for the Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission in Arlington, VA. The role requires hands-on examinations of digital data from mobile devices, computers, and cloud sources, with expert reporting and potential testimony.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of experience (or a Master’s plus 3 years) and certifications such as GCFE/CFCE. Willingness to travel and obtain interim Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of forensics experience.
• Experience with Magnet Axiom, Cellebrite, Oxygen Forensics, and Nuix.
• Ability to produce detailed reports and testify as expert witness.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain interim Secret clearance.
• Willingness to travel for on-scene seizures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic examinations of digital data from various devices and sources.
• Use industry-standard tools for extraction and examination.
• Analyze data across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and cloud services.
• Produce clear, comprehensive reports for investigators and stakeholders.
• Provide expert witness testimony explaining procedures and findings.
• Maintain sound chain of custody during evidence handling.
• Collaborate with leadership and peers to ensure best practices in forensics.
