Job summary

CGS in Dallas is seeking a Digital Forensic Analyst to lead preservation and collection of mobile and cloud-stored data. You will work on-site in the forensics lab and coordinate with legal teams, with travel for on-site collections.

The role requires 1+ years in forensics, experience with standard tools, and the ability to meet deadlines. You will document workflows, maintain chain-of-custody, and mentor junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Digital Forensic Science or CS/Engineering.
• 1+ years experience with forensic lifecycle, evidence acquisitions, and intermediate analysis.
• Experience with EnCase, Cellebrite, Oxygen, FTK Imager, MacQuisition, X1 Social Discovery, Logicube Falcon.
• Knowledge of Mac/Windows filesystems, mobile devices, and encryption.
• Ability to communicate clearly with teams and clients.
• Willingness to travel regularly with a valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic data collection and basic analysis on-site and remotely.
• Coordinate with legal teams or client IT to understand project scope.
• Maintain forensic tool sets and stay current with updates.
• Collaborate with project management to complete complex projects under deadlines.
• Document workflows and procedures for discovery requirements.
• Manage chain-of-custody per rules of evidence.
• Adhere to SOPs and perform quality checks before delivering to client.
• Fulfill additional duties assigned by the manager, including general IT tasks.
