The New York City Department of Investigation ("DOI") is one of the oldest law enforcement agencies in the country, with a mission to combat municipal corruption. It serves the people of New York City by acting as an independent, nonpartisan watchdog for City government, agencies, employees, vendors with City contracts, and entities receiving City funds.
The Department of Investigation seeks a skilled Digital Forensic Analyst to support confidential investigations by retrieving, reviewing, and analyzing digital evidence from electronic devices, including laptops, desktops, servers, mobile devices, tablets, and CCTV systems. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining chain of custody, logging and securing property, assisting with search warrants, and collaborating with investigators and the Cyber Investigation Unit, which handles cybersecurity investigations and OSINT research.
