WWL-TV, the trusted CBS affiliate in New Orleans and part of the TEGNA family, is more than just a news station – we’re a digital powerhouse. From WWL+ (our streaming app) to our thriving digital platforms, we’re redefining how local news reaches and engages with our community. New Orleans is a city like no other, and we’re looking for someone who can help tell its stories in ways that resonate with today’s audiences.

What We’re Looking For: Are you fluent in the language of social media? Can you pivot from breaking news to crafting eye-catching video content that stops the scroll? If so, you’re our kind of leader. We’re searching for a Digital Executive Producer who knows the digital landscape inside and out – and has the skills to lead a team of ambitious, creative digital storytellers.

You’ll play a key part in shaping WWL-TV’s voice across streaming, social media and other digital platforms. If you have big ideas, even bigger energy and a curiosity for exploring emerging technologies, this is the job for you.

Responsibilities:

● Assist in leading and inspiring the digital team to create compelling, audience-focused content across WWLTV’s digital platforms, including WWL+, our website, and social media.

● Push the boundaries of video storytelling – think engaging, innovative content tailored to how audiences consume news today.

● Analyze audience data to drive smarter content strategies.

● Stay ahead of digital trends and introduce fresh, bold ideas that make WWLTV stand out.

● Collaborate with reporters and anchors to ensure their work connects with today’s digital audiences.

● Manage breaking news coverage on digital platforms, including push alerts, live updates, and social media responses.

● Explore and experiment with new and emerging tools to improve content creation, workflow efficiency and audience engagement.

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

● At least 5 years of experience in digital storytelling, content creation, or digital journalism (bonus points for leadership experience).

● Deep understanding of the social media landscape and how to create video content that resonates with audiences.

● Video editing and production skills to bring your vision to life.

● A creative, forward-thinking mindset and the ability to pivot quickly when news breaks or trends shift.

● Familiarity with SEO, analytics tools, and audience data to guide strategy.

● Knowledge of AI tools is a plus.

Why WWLTV? Join a newsroom that’s ready to embrace the next era of local news. You’ll have the freedom to experiment, innovate and bring fresh ideas to the table – all while enjoying the vibrant culture of New Orleans.
