Los Alamos National Security LLC is seeking a Digital Engineering Technologist in Los Alamos, NM. The role includes supporting standardization efforts in nuclear production through data management and engineering practices. The Product Realization and Reliability Office (PRRO) in Nuclear Production Operations consists of a multidisciplinary group of engineers and scientists that support plutonium programs across the entire Nuclear Production Operations organization. The PRRO Office is seeking a digital engineering technologist to support standardization of process and data usage in support of factory floor improvements. The objective of this role is to standardize information collection practices, engineer solutions for leveraging the data to drive factory floor change, and link the information with other systems (PLM/MRP/MES/RMS etc.). This position will primarily consist of office work with occasional shop floor interactions. The technologist position will provide as‑needed support to different digital engineering initiatives and achieve a broad understanding of the digital engineering domain. Training for specific digital engineering capabilities will be provided.
Engineering Technologist 1 ($87,800 - $143,000)
Engineering Technologist 2 ($96,600 - $158,000)
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Science, Math, or related degree from an accredited institution and 2 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
For the higher level: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Science, Math or related degree and 5 years of directly related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.
The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM. All work locations are at the discretion of management.
Regular appointment employees are required to serve a period of continuous service in their current position in order to be eligible to apply for posted jobs throughout the Laboratory. If an employee has not served the time required, they may only apply for Laboratory jobs with the documented approval of their Division Leader. The position commitment for this position is 1 year.
