Job summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Digital Engineering Intern to join our Dallas team in January 2027. You will build model content for pursuits, generate visuals, and extract data for dashboards, while shadowing MEP coordination on large projects across the country.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or Data Analytics, with 1+ year of study completed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or Data Analytics/Computing.
• Must have completed at least 1 year of study; recent grads may apply for further study.
• Interest in BIM, data analytics, and information management within construction.

Job Description

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Digital Engineering Intern to be based in Dallas, Texas.

This position is expected to begin in January 2027.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Create model content for business development pursuits to help win new work.
• Create Visuals and Mine Project Data from multiple sources for Project Dashboards.
• Shadow MEP Coordination Meetings on mega-projects across the country.
• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
• Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
• Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, and/or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience developing interactive Power BI dashboards and automated reports.
• Knowledge of Power Query, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and data modeling.
• Familiarity with SQL and querying data from multiple sources.
• Experience with reporting automation and improving data management processes.
• Experience analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and presenting insights to stakeholders.
• Experience working for a large general contractor.
• Previous relevant internship experience.
• Bluebeam, Sketchup, Revit, Navisworks or BIM Coordination, Lumion or other rendering platforms as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
