X-Bow Systems in Texas seeks a Test Systems & Software Integration Engineer to connect physical testing, manufacturing, and engineering data within a Digital Engineering ecosystem.

You will bridge hardware and software across lab equipment, SCADA, MES, sensors, and APIs, building a traceable digital thread from material characterization to flight hardware. This hybrid role is onsite up to 60% at our Luling, Texas facility, with flexibility based on activity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Strong software engineering background in industrial, manufacturing, or test software.
• Experience integrating laboratory equipment, DAQ, PLCs, SCADA, MES, or similar systems.
• Ability to bridge hardware and software with manufacturing, test and operations teams.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, messaging, or real-time data pipelines.
• Familiarity with OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, LabVIEW or similar technologies.

Responsabilités

• Lead the integration of laboratory equipment, manufacturing systems, test stands, DAQ systems, sensors, historians, SCADA, MES, and industrial software into a unified digital ecosystem
• Collaborate with manufacturing and test teams to improve workflows, data quality, and engineering productivity
• Design reusable interfaces, services, APIs, SDKs, and adapters to standardize operational data entry
• Architect event-driven data pipelines capturing test metadata, genealogy, process parameters, and equipment status with traceability
• Build the digital thread linking assets, work orders, processes, inspection results, and engineering analyses
• Partner with Software Engineering and Engineering Integration to ensure systems are first-class in the enterprise architecture
• Drive adoption of modern data acquisition, automation, and workflows through leadership and hands-on engagement
