Job summary

Wizards of the Coast in Renton, WA is seeking a talented graphic designer with print and digital prowess to help shape the visual identity of D&D across IP and partner projects. You’ll collaborate with the D&D studio and D&D Beyond teams to craft assets, style guides, and responsive designs for multiple platforms.

The role is a temporary, six-month assignment with hybrid work options. A strong portfolio and 5+ years of design experience are required, along with proficiency in Adobe Creative

• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience in print and digital.
• Familiarity with Dungeons & Dragons and fantasy art direction.
• Strong portfolio across digital and print mediums.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and related tools.
• Solid knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, and UX.
• Understanding of technical requirements for digital asset optimization.
• Experience crafting and maintaining technical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-team collaboration.
• Strong understanding of responsive design and asset optimization.
• Experience with 3P licensed products and brand adherence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with D&D studio and Beyond teams to ensure visual consistency and innovation across platforms.

• Guide design decisions aligned with the D&D brand with Content Specialists and UI/UX teams.
• Develop design style guides adaptable to print and digital formats.
• Maintain technical documentation for asset specifications and workflows with production.
• Collaborate with engineering to optimize asset delivery.
• Serve as a design resource for asset delivery questions.

This role does require three days a week in our Renton, WA office.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with both the D&D studio team and D&D Beyond digital team to ensure visual consistency and innovation across platforms
• Build captivating graphic design elements, style guides, and layout formats that uphold D&D's iconic aesthetic while optimizing for digital experiences across both owned IP and 3P partnership projects
• Partner with D&D Beyond's Content Specialists and UI/UX team to inform design decisions and provide creative direction aligned with the D&D brand
• Develop design style guides and systems that can flexibly adapt between print and digital formats
• Build and maintain technical documentation for asset specifications, file organization, and workflow processes in collaboration with D&D production
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize asset delivery and implementation
• Serve as a design resource for asset optimization and delivery questions

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, with shown expertise in both print and digital design
• Familiarity with Dungeons & Dragons and fantasy art direction
• Strong portfolio showcasing versatile design work across digital and print mediums
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and relevant digital design tools
• Solid knowledge of typography, color theory, layout design, and user experience (UX) principles
• Understanding of technical requirements for digital asset optimization and delivery
• Experience crafting and maintaining technical documentation
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across multiple teams
• Strong understanding of responsive design and digital asset optimization
• Experience working on 3p licensed products and navigating brand adherence for partner IP

• Experience in gaming, entertainment, or publishing industries
• Previous work involving print-to-digital adaptation

Employment Details:
Please note that this is a temporary assignment through an external staffing agency. If you are selected for this assignment, you will be employed by Workwell as a W2 employee and will not be an employee of Wizards or Hasbro.

• Employment Type: Temporary
• Duration: 6 months with opportunity to extend up to one year
• Location: This is a hybrid role open to candidates whose work location is within commuting distance of Renton, WA.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the hourly pay range and benefits available for this role.

Hourly Pay Range: $45.00 - $55.00
