Job Summary:

The Digital & Design Specialist is a creative storyteller, visual brand ambassador, and hands-on marketing professional responsible for bringing the Wycliffe experience to life through compelling design, digital content, photography, video, and member communications. From an eye-catching event promotion to an engaging social media post, polished newsletter, memorable photograph, or digital campaign, this role helps ensure Wycliffe’s communications are fresh, engaging, visually consistent, and unmistakably Wycliffe.

Working closely with the Director of Membership, Marketing & Communications and departments throughout the Club, the Digital & Design Specialist transforms ideas, events, amenities, programs, and everyday Club moments into creative content that informs, inspires, and connects our members, Team Members, prospective members, and broader community. Success in this role requires more than great design skills. It requires curiosity, creativity, exceptional attention to detail, strong organization, a service mindset, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining Wycliffe's brand standards and commitment to excellence.

Job Tasks/Duties:

Creative Design, Marketing & Brand

  • Design creative, polished, and engaging marketing materials for Club events, dining experiences, golf, athletics, wellness, membership initiatives, Team Member programs, and other Club activities.
  • Create and prepare digital and print collateral, including flyers, menus, invitations, signage, advertisements, presentations, promotional materials, and other branded communications.
  • Support the design, layout, production, and quality control of recurring Club publications and newsletters.
  • Translate concepts and information from Club departments into visually compelling communications that are clear, accurate, engaging, and consistent with the Wycliffe brand.
  • Protect and elevate the Club's visual identity by consistently applying established branding, typography, imagery, messaging, and design standards.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand their marketing and communication objectives and recommend creative approaches that strengthen participation and engagement.
  • Prepare and resize creative assets for multiple formats, including email, website, social media, member app, digital signage, presentations, and print.
  • Assist with special campaigns, membership marketing initiatives, employee communications, recruitment marketing, community relations, and other strategic Club projects.

Digital Communications & Content:

  • Create engaging digital content that showcases the people, experiences, amenities, programs, traditions, and culture that make Wycliffe unique.
  • Support the Club's social media presence across appropriate platforms by developing graphics, photographs, videos, stories, reels, and other creative content.
  • Maintain and update designated content within the Club's website and member app, ensuring information remains timely, accurate, visually appealing, and relevant.
  • Own the email marketing campaign process, including formatting, design, scheduling, testing, and quality assurance.
  • Responsible for digital signage and other internal communication channels throughout the Club.
  • Monitor emerging digital, social media, graphic design, and marketing trends and recommend creative ideas that may enhance the Club's communications.
  • Review basic engagement analytics and performance data to help identify which content, topics, formats, and communication channels resonate most strongly with audiences.

Photography, Video & Storytelling:

  • Capture high-quality photography and video of Club events, amenities, dining experiences, tournaments, programs, Team Members, member experiences, and other activities for marketing and communication purposes.
  • Attend Club events and activities as assigned to capture still photography, candid moments, short-form video, B-roll, interviews, and other storytelling content.
  • Edit and enhance photographs and video content for use across digital and print communications.
  • Help identify authentic stories and moments that showcase the Wycliffe culture and create an emotional connection with members, prospective members, Team Members, and the community.
  • Maintain organized photo, video, design, and creative asset libraries so content can be efficiently located and reused.
  • Coordinate with outside photographers, videographers, printers, marketing partners, and other creative vendors when needed.
  • Serve as a creative resource for departments throughout the Club while balancing brand consistency, communication priorities, production schedules, and deadlines.
  • Manage multiple simultaneous design and communication projects while maintaining strong attention to detail, quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Proofread and quality-check materials prior to distribution or publication, helping ensure communications are professional and error-free.
  • Build positive working relationships throughout the organization and actively seek information, stories, photographs, and content opportunities across Club operations.
  • Represent Wycliffe professionally when interacting with members, guests, Team Members, vendors, community partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to support Club events and content needs, which may occasionally include evenings, weekends, or holidays.
  • Perform other duties and creative projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Two or more years of experience in graphic design, digital marketing, communications, content creation, or a related creative field preferred.
  • Experience within a private club, luxury hospitality, resort, lifestyle, agency, or other high-touch service environment is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated graphic design experience and a strong portfolio showcasing creative work across digital and/or print platforms.
  • Photography, videography, and multimedia content creation experience.

Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective lines of internal and external communication with all levels of staff and business partners.
  • Strong graphic design and visual storytelling skills with creativity and excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in various design tools; including Canva, Adobe and related design tools.
  • Experience with digital publishing, email marketing, social media, content management systems, and marketing platforms.
  • Working knowledge of typography, layout, branding, imagery, and digital and print production.
  • Photography and photo-editing skills; videography and video editing.
  • Ability to transform ideas and information into polished, engaging communications.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and collaborative communication skills.
  • Creative, adaptable, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to accept creative direction and feedback and make revisions efficiently.
  • Awareness of emerging design, digital marketing, social media, and content trends.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and commitment to representing Wycliffe’s brand, culture, and service standards professionally.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods when photographing, filming, or attending Club events.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift or carry equipment and materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Repetitive motion is associated with computer entry and graphic design work.
  • Normal hearing and vision ranges, with or without reasonable accommodation, are required to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Work is performed in both office and Club environments and may occasionally require outdoor activity.
  • Schedule flexibility may be required based upon Club events, programs, deadlines, and communication needs.
