Job summary

Solidus is seeking a skilled Digital Design Engineer to join our defense engineering team in Tucson, AZ. The role designs, develops, and implements digital circuitry and systems to support hardware initiatives across the product lifecycle.

You will work with cross-functional engineers to define requirements, create efficient architectures, and validate digital components using modern design methods. The position is onsite and requires an active Secret clearance; candidates without clearance are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience in electronics circuit design and multi‑assembly system/unit design (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Proficiency with electronic design and simulation tools across schematic, layout, signal/power integrity.
• Experience developing and supporting complex, multi‑layer circuit card assemblies.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Requirements creation and analysis.
• Parts selection and trade studies.
• Architecture design and block diagrams.
• Schematic capture and involvement with the Physical Layout process.
• Lab checkout and integration of hardware using test plans and lab equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
