Job summary

Textron Systems, Electronic Systems is seeking an experienced Digital Design Engineer to develop solutions across FPGA and embedded microcontroller technologies. This role collaborates with a multidisciplinary team on system-level architecture, design, testing, and customer support.

The candidate should have 5–7 years in electrical/computer engineering and hands-on FPGA/embedded experience, with the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with VHDL and/or Verilog.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical projects or guiding small engineering teams
• Strong system integration, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement digital signal processing and logic for FPGAs (Intel/Altera or AMD/Xilinx) and develop firmware for embedded microcontrollers.
• Lead problem-solving and system-level design activities, including requirements analysis, architecture planning, and documentation.
• Work hands-on in the lab to test, troubleshoot, and debug hardware using electronic test equipment.
• Support project milestones through status updates, proposal input, and participation in system testing, deployment, and customer training.
• Independently develop innovative technical solutions and collaborate with cross-discipline engineering teams.

Job Summary
