Job summary

Solidus Technical Solutions, LLC in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Digital Design Engineer to design, develop, and validate digital circuitry supporting defense hardware. The role requires onsite work in Tucson, an active Secret clearance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams across requirements, architecture, schematic capture, layout, and lab verification.

Candidates should have 2 years of experience (or a Master's degree) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and proficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience or entry level with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Experience in electronics circuit design and multi-assembly system design.
• Proficiency with electronic design and simulation tools for schematic creation, layout, and signal/power integrity analysis.
• Experience developing and supporting complex, multi‑layer circuit card assemblies.
• Active Secret clearance.

Job description

This position requires onsite in Tucson, AZ and an active Secret security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is seeking a skilled and collaborative Digital Design Engineer to join our defense engineering team.

The Digital Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing digital circuitry and systems that support the organization's hardware and technology initiatives. This role involves working closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to define requirements, create efficient architectures, and validate digital components throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly analytical, and experienced in modern digital design methodologies.

• Requirements Creation & Analysis
• Parts Selection & trade studies
• Architecture design - block diagrams, etc.
• Schematic Capture & Involvement with the Physical Layout process
• Lab checkout & integration of HW utilizing test plan and lab equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 2 years of experience with a Bachelor's or entry level with a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field
• Experience in the development and design of electronics circuit designs, multi-assembly system/unit design
• Proficiency with electronic design and simulation tools across schematic creation, layout, and signal/power integrity analysis
• Experience developing and supporting complex, multi‑layer circuit card assemblies
• Active Secret clearance
