Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Digital Design Engineer for a 12-month contract to design, analyze, simulate, test, and integrate digital electronic modules and CCAs for missile applications.

• Ability to take concept to complete hardware design and verify via test.
• Experience with PCB design processes and schematic capture tools.
• Background in multi-layer circuit card assemblies and applying design constraints.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and CCAs for missile applications.
• Collaborate in a team environment on hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Lead programs from development into production where applicable; create requirements and perform trade studies.
• Lab checkout and integration of hardware using test plans and lab equipment.

Location: Tucson, AZ

Pay Range: $106-119
CONTRACT

12 month contract

The Digital Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and/or CCAs for Missile applications. The candidate should be experienced in all aspects of circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART. The candidate will be working in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Minimum 8 years of experience in the development and design of electronics circuit designs, multi-assembly system/unit design

Ability to take a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level to development of a complete hardware design, and verification via test and integration

Experience with PCB design?process and expertise in tools used to design (schematic capture), analyze and simulate designs prior to hardware execution.

• Background in developing complex, multi-layer circuit card assemblies and applying design constraints
• Familiarity with software or FPGA development and leading programs from development into production
• Requirements Creation & Analysis
• Parts Selection & trade studies
• Architecture design - block diagrams, etc.
• Schematic Capture & Involvement with the Physical Layout process
• Lab checkout & integration of HW utilizing test plan and lab equipment
