Job summary

Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ seeks a Dental Lab Coordinator to lead digital and traditional dental lab workflows. You will support students and faculty while maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving lab systems and equipment, under the Laboratory Manager's guidance.

The role requires collaboration with ITS, external labs, vendors, and clinical settings, with travel to professional meetings as needed. A strong background in CAD/CAM and digital fabrication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in dental laboratory technology, digital dentistry, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of dental laboratory experience, including at least 2 years with digital dental systems/digital fabrication.
• Hands‑on proficiency with major dental CAD platforms (3Shape, Exocad, CEREC inLab) is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain digital and traditional laboratory equipment (scanners, CAD/CAM workstations, milling units, furnaces, 3D printers).
• Design and production of fixed/removable prostheses, implant restorations, surgical guides, models, and occlusal appliances using digital and conventional methods.
• Optimize digital design/manufacturing workflows in 3Shape, Exocad, CEREC inLab (additive/subtractive manufacturing).
• Provide hands-on support to students, faculty, and staff on lab equipment, digital systems, case submissions, and workflows.
