Qualifications

• Must have a Windows-based computer capable of running required reporting software and programs.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to assignments in the Washington, D.C. area.
• Must be willing and available to work in person in Washington, D.C., up to five days per week.
• Be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and reliability.
• Have an interest in and basic understanding of legal proceedings.
• Be comfortable learning and using technology and computer software.
• Be able to upload and download files and perform basic computer functions.
• Have a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
• Be able to commit to meeting assignment and submission deadlines.
• Have a current U.S. bank account to receive contract payments.

Responsibilities

• You will work as an independent contractor on a per-project/assignment basis.
• Perform digital court reporting tasks in a professional legal environment in the Washington, D.C. area.
• Training and onboarding will be provided; no prior digital court reporting experience is required.
• Candidates must be able to accept assignments up to five days per week based on business needs.
