Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Digital Controllership Consultant to help finance leaders modernize controllership, strengthen controls, and implement digital finance solutions that drive business performance.

You will work with CFOs and controllers to transform processes, data, and technology, including SAP, Oracle, Workday, Workiva, and BlackLine, while developing data models and analytics for improved insights. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting, controllership, FP&A, or cost accounting experience.
• 2+ years in requirements gathering, business process mapping, or ERP/finance platform implementations.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, Workday, Workiva, BlackLine, or Power BI.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to travel ~50% based on client needs.

Digital Controllership Consultant

Help finance leaders modernize the controllership function and strengthen how finance supports the business. As a Digital Controllership Consultant in Deloitte's Finance Transformation practice, you will work with CFOs, controllers, and finance executives to address accounting, data, process, and technology challenges. You will help clients implement digital finance solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and support business performance.

Work you'll do

As a Consultant on the Controllership and Treasury Transformation team, you will be responsible for helping clients improve finance operations through process, data, and technology transformation.

• Support client engagements focused on controllership, finance transformation, and digital finance modernization
• Gather requirements, map business processes, and support solution design, testing, and deployment
• Implement or optimize finance platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Workiva, and BlackLine
• Develop accounting data models, reporting structures, and analytics to improve financial insight
• Contribute to proposals, practice initiatives, and day-to-day client delivery

This empowers our clients to deliver greater value to their business partners and investors.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, financial planning and analysis, or cost accounting
• 2+ years of experience with requirements gathering, business process mapping, or full life cycle implementation for enterprise resource planning systems, finance platforms, or boundary applications
• Experience with one or more of the following: SAP, SAP Performance and Profitability Management, SAP Profitability and Cost Management, Oracle, Oracle Profitability and Cost Management, CostPerform, Workday, Workiva, BlackLine, Alteryx, Microsoft SQL Server, Tableau, or Power BI
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, Accounting, or Finance
• Experience supervising and executing technology life cycle activities using project management and testing methodologies
• Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Accountant, Certified Cost Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, or Financial Risk Manager certification, or progress toward one of these credentials
• Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, International Financial Reporting Standards, Securities and Exchange Commission rules and regulations, managerial accounting, cost accounting, and profitability analysis
• Experience with reporting tools, big data tools, machine learning tools, or data visualization tools
• Experience leading a project workstream within Record to Report or Order to Cash

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,700-170,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
