Job summary

Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is seeking a Digital Content Manager to own the organization’s digital voice across web, social, search, and emerging AI platforms.

You will write compelling copy, manage multiple channels, optimize content for discovery, and use data to guide decisions. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing & Communications, you will collaborate with teams across the Chamber to ensure timely, engaging content that aligns with priorities.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in digital marketing, communications, social media, or web content.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience managing professional social media across multiple platforms.
  • Experience with organic and paid social content.
  • Working knowledge of SEO and digital content optimization.
  • Familiarity with Semrush, Google Ads, and Analytics.
  • Ability to translate performance data into content actions.
  • Strong project management across multiple channels and deadlines.

Job description

Are you a strong digital communicator who understands how compelling content, smart
strategy, and data work together? The Gwinnett Chamber is hiring a Digital Content Manager to
own and strengthen our digital voice across web, social media, search, and emerging AI-driven
platforms. This role is ideal for a digital marketing professional who can write compelling copy,
manage multiple channels, optimize content for discovery, and use data to understand what’s
working.

This position reports to the SVP of Marketing & Communications and works closely with the
marketing team and departments across the organization to ensure the Chamber’s digital
content is timely, engaging, discoverable, and aligned with organizational priorities.
This is a hands‑on digital content and project management role with no direct reports.

What You’ll Do

You won’t just publish content; you’ll help determine what people read, find, and engage with.

Own Our Digital Voice
  • Write, edit, and publish compelling content for the Chamber’s website and social channels
  • Translate programs, events, and initiatives into audience-focused digital content
  • Proofread and edit content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and effectiveness
  • Partner with internal teams to gather information and turn it into engaging content
Manage the Digital Front Door
  • Own day-to-day website content management
  • Develop and optimize web copy for programs, events, campaigns, news, and organizational initiatives
  • Partner with the Creative Content Manager on website design, landing pages, visual assets, and user experience as needed
Lead Our Social Presence
  • Manage the Chamber’s presence across 11 social media channels, including content planning, scheduling, publishing, monitoring, and optimization
  • Develop and manage organic and paid social media messaging and placement
  • Build and maintain social media content calendars aligned with Chamber events, programs, campaigns, and priorities
  • Adapt messaging and content appropriately for different platforms and audiences
  • Collaborate with the Creative Content Manager on graphics, reels, shorts, and other visual assets
  • Monitor engagement and use performance insights to continuously improve content
Help People Find Us
  • Apply SEO, GEO, and AI-informed content optimization practices across digital content
  • Use Semrush to monitor search visibility, keyword opportunities, and content performance
  • Build and manage Google Ad campaigns
  • Balance emerging AI capabilities with strong human editorial judgment
Turn Data Into Better Content
  • Use Google Analytics, Semrush, social analytics, and other digital performance tools to measure results
  • Monitor website traffic, engagement, search performance, and content effectiveness
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve digital reach and audience engagement
  • Translate performance data into practical recommendations for future content
  • Develop regular reporting that helps the marketing team understand what’s working
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in digital marketing, communications, social media, web content, copywriting, or a related field
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills
  • Experience managing professional social media accounts across multiple platforms
  • Experience developing both organic and paid social media content
  • Working knowledge of SEO and digital content optimization
  • Experience with Semrush, Google Ads and Analytics, or comparable platforms
  • Familiarity with GEO, AI-assisted content development, and emerging AI/search practices
  • Ability to interpret digital performance data and turn insights into action
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple channels, deadlines, and priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and sound editorial judgment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • Writing and/or digital content work samples are preferred
  • Certification or degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, English, digital media, or a related field is a plus
