Job summary

The NYC Department of Design and Construction seeks a Digital Content Creator to join our Creative Services unit at 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101. The selected candidate will collaborate with writers, illustrators, photographers and designers, creating social media content from concept development to execution.

The ideal candidate excels at sharable content, shooting and editing vertical videos, and has experience with motion graphics and typography.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years in community work or related duties.
• Alternative: high school diploma and 6+ years in related duties.
• Equivalent education/experience with at least 1 year in related duties.

Responsibilities

• Create social media content from concept to implementation.
• Collaborate with writers, illustrators, photographers, and designers.
• Shoot and edit vertical videos; apply motion graphics and typography.
• Facilitate discussions with experts and non-experts and translate into content.
• Work both in a team and independently to drive projects to completion.
• Photography skills are a plus.
