Job description
Digital Communications Specialist

Please Note: You will be required to be IN the office at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA a minimum of four (4) days per week and/or as additionally required.

Do you love creating smart, effective emails that truly connect with customers? We’re looking for a Digital Communications Specialist to help us tell our story and keep our customers informed — on assignments ranging from welcome series and newsletters to seasonal tips and storm support.

In this role, you’ll be a key contributor to our email marketing efforts, working closely with partners across the company to plan, build, and optimize campaigns that reach customers through their #1 preferred communication channel: email. You’ll also support SMS campaigns as part of integrated customer journeys, ensuring both channels work together to deliver timely, clear, and customer-friendly communications.

The role offers an opportunity to make a real impact — helping customers get the information they need, when they need it, through clear, consistent, and high-performing digital communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning, execution, and optimization of non-transactional email campaigns (e.g., welcome series, newsletters, storm communications, brand initiatives).
  • Provide strategic input on email best practices, segmentation, timing, and integration with broader campaigns.
  • Build and launch engaging email campaigns using Eloqua and other digital tools.
  • Test and optimize email campaigns to ensure performance across devices, inboxes, and user preferences.
  • Manage campaign workflows and timelines to ensure smooth execution and alignment with business priorities.
  • Support the day-to-day management of email processes, including scheduling, production, QA, and deployment to ensure timely and accurate campaign execution.
  • Track campaign performance, analyze results, and share insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on industry trends, compliance standards, and emerging best practices.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Experience, and Digital teams to align messaging and communication goals.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in email marketing, marketing automation, or digital marketing with expertise in campaign execution, optimization, analytics. Hands-on experience building and deploying email campaigns (Eloqua experience preferred).
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email and comfort with design QA.
  • Familiarity with SMS campaign strategy and interest in integrated digital customer journeys.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strategic mindset with an understanding of how email supports the customer lifecycle and broader marketing goals.
  • Analytical approach to campaign performance and optimization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy, compliance, and polish.
  • Collaborative, team-first attitude with a passion for helping partners succeed.
