Job summary

The National Institute for Reproductive Health (NIRH) seeks a Digital Communications Manager to lead online presence and messaging in support of reproductive freedom. This full-time, exempt role reports to the Associate Director of Digital Communications and oversees social media, email campaigns, website updates, and branded collateral.

Responsibilities

  • Manage NIRH’s social media accounts across platforms, including BlueSky, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn.
  • Develop and execute social media content plans aligned with NIRH’s mission.
  • Create engaging content including captions, graphics, videos.
  • Maintain and update a social media content calendar.
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics and prepare reports.
  • Support email communications drafting, formatting, and distribution.

Thisisabenefitseligible, Full-time,Exemptpositionthatwillrequire35hoursofwork,with flexibility,duringnormalbusinesshours,MondaytoFriday,10AMto6PM.Theannualsalary for this position is between $75,000–$80,000 commensurate with experience.

THEROLE

TheDigitalCommunicationsManagerwillplayapivotalroleinshapingNIRH’sonlinepresence, ensuring our messaging is compelling, consistent, and aligned with our mission ofadvancingreproductivefreedom.ThisrolewillreporttotheAssociateDirectorofDigital

Communications and will help them oversee social media management, email communications, websiteupdates,and branded collateral including graphics,videos,reports, toolkits, and event materials. WHATYOU’LLDO

SocialMedia

  • Manage NIRH’s social media accounts across platforms, including BlueSky (2 accounts),Instagram,Facebook(2 accounts),LinkedIn,andanynewplatformsNIRH mayadopt.
  • DevelopandexecutesocialmediacontentplansthatalignwithNIRH’smissionandengages audiences.
  • Create engaging, thoughtful, and intentional content, including captions, graphics, videos, and interactive posts.
  • Maintainandupdateasocialmedia contentcalendartoensureconsistency and strategic timing.
  • Monitorandanalyzesocialmediametricstoassessperformanceandinformfuture strategies.PreparereportsfortheAssociateDirectorofDigitalCommunicationsto support data-driven decision-making.

EmailCommunications

  • Support the drafting, formatting, and distribution of email communications in collaboration with the Associate Director of Digital Communications.
  • Assistwithemaillistmaintenance,includinguploads,segmentation,anddatahygiene.
  • Trackandanalyzeemailperformancemetrics(e.g.,openrates,click-throughrates)and prepare reports to optimize engagement.

WebsiteManagement

  • Makeregularupdatesto NIRH’swebsite,including:
    • Addingpressreleases,jobvacancies,reports,andresources.
    • Updatingpartnerpagesandotherrelevantcontent.
  • SupporttheCommsteambyensuringwebsitecontentisaccurate,up-to-date,and alignedwithNIRH’sbrandandmission.

ContentCreation&Design

  • CreateNIRH-brandedandpartnerco-createdgraphicsandvideosforuseacross multipleplatforms(includingsocialmedia,email,website,reports,andevents).
  • Design assets for reports, events, and other projects as needed, ensuring consistency inbranding and visual identity.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and refine NIRH’s online voice and tone, ensuring it reflects the organization’s commitment to racial equity, inclusion, and social justice.
  • Contribute to building a strong, collaborative, and inclusive team culture grounded in racial equity and inclusion.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align digital communications with NIRH’sbroader strategic goals.
  • Support the Associate Director of Digital Communications in developing andimplementingdigitalstrategiesthatadvanceNIRH’smission.
